The Fowler Project is a space for artists. This downtown building redevelopment project is envisioned and designed by artists. The project's main purpose is to create an environment that promotes interaction and collaboration among artists in the visual, performance, and applied arts fields.
Located in downtown Waterloo, the redevelopment project spans two properties, including The Fowler Co. building located at the corner of 4th and Lafayette, and the adjacent A. W. Haffa building on 4th Street.
Artists and creative entrepreneurs can appreciate our generously priced rental spaces that cater to the specific needs of persons in the creative arts. Commercial property, studio space, and residential units are available to foster an interactive cultural community.
In its completion, the Fowler Project will serve as a progressive economic engine of culture, arts, and entertainment for downtown Waterloo. This will support the synergy of the local arts and creative professional communities, increase members of the creative class in the Cedar Valley, and provide an alternative commercial enterprise for the City of Waterloo.
